Plenty by Tracy Reese Striped Dress from Anthropologie

I had a bit of a splurge at Anthropologie recently and picked up this bright, striped Plenty by Tracy Reese dress (which Anthro so eloquently named the "striped stripes dress") as a possible option for an upcoming summer wedding or spring bridal shower. It's so beautiful in person and fits like a glove. Ryan thinks it is WAY too bright and that I look like a walking rainbow, but when have I ever listened to him?! The straps are adjustable and detachable, so I may tie them up in a halter for a more vintage feel or remove them for the ultimate strapless summery feel.

What I Wore: 9.29.11-9.30.11

I really did not get any good pictures of my outfits during our wedding weekend, only quick snapshots with the flash at the end of the day (ignore how intoxicated I may or may not be in the last picture, it was 3 am!). It was a great weekend and SUCH an amazing wedding, we had a blast. Ryan had to deliver his best man speech, which he has been obsessing over for about a year! It was a success, of course! We're so happy for his brother and his new wife and hopefully they are having fun on their honeymoon right now!

Recycling is a good thing, right? You recycle don't you?

Baby Got Back...

I just found this top in my room here, apparently I bought it in December and couldn't fit it in my suitcase! I have never worn it before, so I was pairing it with different bottoms to see how it worked. High waisted pants? Check. Skirt... let's see...

What I Wore: 7.1.11

I didn't take any pictures prior to the wedding, so bear with the iPhone mirror shot from the hotel room. You like Ryan's suit? He outgrew his navy blue suit, so I made him get a grey replacement and a thin black tie. We got it at one of those suit warehouse stores since the Ben Sherman suit of my dreams was out of the budget (I'd link to it, but they are in the process of a website overhaul. So something similar to this, but lighter grey). We got it heavily tailored so it was more fitted (The tailor actually had the exact Ben Sherman suit I wanted on sale in his shop when we walked in, which was a little painful). I like it, feels very Mad Men but still modern at the same time.

What To Wear: Anthropologie vs. Anthropologie

Ryan and I are going to a wedding on Friday for one of his college friends. I'm currently debating between which outfit to wear to the occasion: On one hanger (get it, get it..?) I have this cream/striped dress I got at Anthropologie (over a year ago and still haven't worn) and on the other hanger I have a polka-dotted strapless number I also got at Anthropologie.

Now here is what I'm thinking.... I should save the dress with the cream and the stripes upcoming wedding functions with Ryan's family because it is more covered and I should rock the strapless dress for the 20 somethings wedding where I will only know Ryan's friends. Agree, disagree, agree to disagree?

What I Wore: 2.19.11

I'm pretty mad I didn't get an outfit watch post going yesterday-- it was such nice weather that I wore only a thin dress and my gladiator sandals all through the day and night (we took Dexter out to the bars and sat outside with him). Alas, today is much colder! Since I got into UPENN recently, I need to move out of the burbs and into Philadelphia to be closer to school. Today we looked at an amazing townhouse apartment that is PERFECT: a yard for Dexter, a driveway for three cars, a balcony which has views of downtown Philadelphia, and much more! I hope everything works out-- the landlord basically said I was an ideal candidate and will have to decide if he's flexible enough for a May move-in date.
