Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear - Sun Kissed and Konad Nail Stamping

I was pretty bored recently (surprise, surprise... funemployment) and decided to bust out my Konad stamping tools. I had never used them before, so I opted for a very discreet combo -- hot pink on an orange base. I picked out my Konad m57 plate for a leopard print design and watched a few tutorials on YouTube to refresh my memory. It was relatively easy -- I'll post a "how to" eventually... I just have to get better at it first. I was happy with the end result, as it is very subtle, and will definitely do this again in various color combos. Obviously, it's not a perfect application. I made the mistake of applying my top coat before the pink stamping polish was totally dry on my ring finger nail, so don't make that mistake and lose your whole design!

Despite this Sally Hansen polish being really cheap, it wears quite well and I've had about 5 chip-free days so far. I definitely think I can say that it is one of my favorite orange polishes that I own! Not too shabby for a polish I got in a sale for about 99 cents!

Butter LONDON - Blagger

Blagger is my third and final (for now!) Butter LONDON polish. I was initially really excited for this polish, but now I kind of regret this color choice over other more sophisticated options. I should probably stick to cheap brands, like Sally Hansen, where it comes to "out there" colors instead of dropping mad dolla dolla bills on Butter LONDON. It chipped after a few days wear, so that too was a bit of a disappointment -- but could easily have been a result of my application and not an issue attributable to the actual polish. Nevertheless, I like the color and had fun wearing it. Once the chipping started, I went with my ole faithful trick and quickly applied a really light coat of the glittery Sally Hansen's Xtreme Wear in Time to Shine to extend the life of the manicure.

Fall Polish Options

I made a video where I go through my favorite colors for the new season, but I wanted to share my picks here as well. The color themes I am most excited for this Fall are berries, bloody reds, purples, greens, oranges, and metallics. NOTE: This is by no means the complete list. I picked exactly 20 colors from my collection -- mostly because that many colors would fill up the nail wheel -- but I could have kept going! Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear - Lacey Lilac

I got a little bored, a little excited about my vast collection of polishes, a little inspired, and felt like changing up the manicure I had (Essie's Mod Squad). I contemplated trying out the OPI Silver Shatter I had recently purchased, but ultimately I decided to employ a little clear tape and try my hand at multi-colored nails. It was pretty easy for it having been my first time trying it out, so give it a try! All you have to do is lay down tape across your nail (make sure there are no bubbles), paint, and peel. You like?

 

 

Essie - Mod Squad AKA Mob Square?

Now that I'm all into all sorts of colors for polish, it feels so strange and boring to rock red or pink on my nails. Luckily, Essie's Mod Squad (also known as Mob Square for some reason?) is not a boring pink at all. It's bright and really cute. Two quick coats and very little clean up. I love it! I got bored while watching TV, so I added a few dots on two fingers with a Sally Hansen Nail Art Pen. When I showed it off to Ryan and asked, "Like?" He responded, "Yeah, it looks good, except for the dot things." Can't please them all...
