Steve Madden DYNEMITE

I recently picked up the Steve Madden DYNEMITE and thanks to a spring 30% off promotion (and an additional coupon code) I paid about 1/2 the regular price. Cha ching -- big savings! They look amazing with dresses, especially vintage ones, but warning: they are a liiiiiittle difficult to walk in as they are a pretty high platform. I needed a pair of simple, neutral shoes for the longest time, so I'm pretty happy with these -- especially the ~$50 price tag. I also found the lavender ones in my size on Overstock for a little more and scooped those up because they are a PERFECT color match for the watercolor-esque vintage dress I bought a while back and a similarly colored Marc by Marc Jacobs dress that has sat in my closet for years unworn.

Guest Blog Post - Sleeveless in Seattle

One of the perks of interning for Nordstrom, aside from the 20% discount, is that it is completely acceptable to browse the online merchandise during work hours. Ryan and I went to Michael Ian Black's Comedy Central special taping on Friday! I just realized I haven't posted an outfit watch post in weeks -- unacceptable! I've sported some pretty neat ones too, I swear! Now that the weather is getting better (for my poor shivering volunteer forced photographer) and Dexter is getting older and more independent, it will be far easier to find the time for outfit posts!

I'm pretty mad I didn't get an outfit watch post going yesterday-- it was such nice weather that I wore only a thin dress and my gladiator sandals all through the day and night (we took Dexter out to the bars and sat outside with him). Alas, today is much colder! Since I got into UPENN recently, I need to move out of the burbs and into Philadelphia to be closer to school. Today we looked at an amazing townhouse apartment that is PERFECT: a yard for Dexter, a driveway for three cars, a balcony which has views of downtown Philadelphia, and much more! I hope everything works out-- the landlord basically said I was an ideal candidate and will have to decide if he's flexible enough for a May move-in date.
