I've Been Ombré-ed!

6.22.2011

Yesterday I went to see Meghan at the AMS Salon in Philadelphia for my ombré hair. The staff was very friendly and Meghan great. I am very pleased with the outcome from the balayage highlights, etc... plus, it should only look better as it grows out! Since I want a grown out look, I get a lot of time out of this coloring and won't have to get it done again for a while (save me some $$$). I was pretty nervous I was going to look like a trashy two-tone hair color freak for Ryan's big family party this weekend, so thank the lawwwd... but most importantly, thank you Meghan!

It looks so pretty & natural - like it was sun kissed just to frame your face. Love it!

  2. Thanks! After that incident where I looked like Tony the Tiger with bad stripes last year, I had to do my researchhhh on the colorist. (Booooo Kim Vo Salon in SF)

  4. thanks! I have to get used to the color being different because when I go to get dressed, things that used to look good with brown may not look as well with this color... i.e. red!

  5. Did you ever have a positive experience with this technique in an SF salon? I just found your blog and live in the city. I've been dying to try this! Yours looks great. Now to find the right place...

  6. This is the first time I've tried this style out on my hair so I never had it done in SF. But, since I was going home in July, I did look around on yelp and google in case I wanted it done there. It looked like there were places that people had it done to their hair and loved it. I specifically picked a colorist who did balayage (hair painting) highlights versus foil highlights because I had heard great things from friends about it and I was still afraid from my one and only other experience with foils! Good luck finding a place to get it done!
